Our take

Official CodeScene server exposing their Code Health metrics (maintainability, technical-debt hotspots) as local MCP tools, written in Rust with unusually broad distribution: npm, Homebrew, VS Code extension, Claude Desktop bundle, and a Claude Code plugin with skills. Actively maintained by the vendor org and clearly documented, but it is a companion to a commercial product — you need a CodeScene access token, and the free standalone tier gates some tools. Worth it if your team already uses CodeScene; limited standalone appeal otherwise.
