What this is
MCP Index ("the directory", "we") is a free, public catalogue of Model Context Protocol servers and agents. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
The directory is provided as-is
We work hard to keep listings accurate — every entry is re-checked nightly against the official registry, GitHub, and npm — but the directory is provided "as is", without warranty. We don't guarantee any listed server is safe, maintained, fit for your purpose, or free of defects. Installing and running third-party software is your decision and your risk. Verify anything before you rely on it.
Third-party servers are not ours
Listed servers, their code, licences, and their operators are independent of us. A listing is not an endorsement, and inclusion or a "verified" stamp says only that our checks passed on the date shown — not that we vouch for the software. Your use of any listed server is governed by that server's own licence and terms.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape or bulk-download the directory to rebuild it elsewhere, don't hammer it in a way that degrades service for others, don't submit spam, impersonating, or deliberately misleading listings, and don't try to break, probe, or circumvent the site's security. We may rate-limit, remove content, or block access to protect the directory.
Submissions
When you submit a server you confirm you're entitled to share the information and that it's accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submissions are reviewed by a human and may be edited, categorised, declined, or later flagged or delisted at our discretion, under our published methodology.
Featured listings
Featured placements are paid and always labelled as such. Payment is processed by Stripe. Featured status buys placement only — it never changes a server's editorial review, verification result, or flag status; a stale or bad-faith featured server is flagged like any other. Placements run for the period purchased and renew or cancel per the plan you chose; you can cancel a recurring placement at any time and it stops at the end of the paid period. Fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable except where required by law.
Our content
Editorial reviews, category writing, flag-file documentation, and the site's design are ours. Factual listing data (names, links, stars, downloads) belongs to the respective projects and their sources. Don't republish our editorial content as your own.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the directory or of any server you found through it. Nothing here excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the last change. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
