Our take

Gradus gives agents a practical music-notation surface: render JSON scores to SVG, MusicXML, and MIDI, validate inputs, and run theory-analysis/search helpers. The package is a thin client around the Gradus web API, but it is free, needs no key, and publishes enough schema/examples for agents to use it without guesswork. The registry version lags npm slightly, so install from npm rather than trusting the snapshot version.
