Our take

SelfPing is a narrowly scoped utility that lets an agent send SMS notifications to the same phone number tied to the API key, which makes it useful for personal alerts, job completions, and simple operational paging. The product looks maintained and intentionally constrained, which is a good trust signal for a tool with messaging access. The tradeoff is obvious: it is practical but very single-purpose, so most teams will only need it for specific automation cases.
