Our take

DepScope gives agents package intelligence before installs: package existence, health, malicious/typosquat checks, CVEs, alternatives, and install commands across many ecosystems. The hosted remote endpoint is live and the npm package is a small open-source MCP wrapper over a proprietary backend, with no auth required today. The README and server instructions push proactive use hard; that fits the security product, but it is still a steering-heavy integration.
