Our take

MERX ships a substantial TRON resource-exchange MCP package, but the distribution audit found awesome-list fork spam. The owner forked multiple MCP/x402/blockchain curated lists in a tight launch window and committed default-branch self-insertions such as 'Add MERX as TRON x402 facilitator' and 'Add MERX - TRON resource exchange MCP server'. That manufactured ecosystem presence is the named bad-faith pattern in the curation method, independent of whether the MCP code works.
