Our take

The listed repo is Cypress's open ai-toolkit, but the Cloud MCP server itself isn't in it — the MIT repo ships only client config files (.mcp.claude.json / .mcp.cursor.json) plus three Cypress AI skills, while the server is a closed-source hosted service requiring a Cypress Cloud account (OAuth by default, Personal Access Token optional). It surfaces Cypress Cloud test results and accessibility reports to your coding agent, alongside skills for writing and auditing Cypress tests. Vendor-built and actively maintained since March 2026, but the footprint is small (34 stars) and the MCP piece is inseparable from the paid Cloud product. Only worthwhile if your team already runs tests through Cypress Cloud.
