Our take

Local Git tools in pure JS (isomorphic-git, no git binary needed) with unusually careful defaults: it refuses to start without an explicit GIT_ROOTS allowlist and keeps stage/commit/branch writes behind a separate opt-in flag. Part of a tidy solo-maintained mcp-suite monorepo with CI and tests. Very new and essentially unadopted, and most agents already ship git access — the sandboxing is the reason to pick it.
