Our take

Go MCP server giving agents a structured, guard-railed git surface — 13 tools (the registry's '17 tools' claim is stale) with automatic backups before mutations, isolated worktrees per session, and an AST/dependency-graph commit preview, optionally using local Ollama so git ops cost zero API tokens. More opinionated and safety-focused than the reference git MCP server, with real docs, CI, Homebrew tap, and active pushes through July 2026. Caveats: solo developer, the owner account renamed (registry entry is stale), and the curl-pipe-sh install plus agent-hook injection deserve a skim before trusting it. For CLI-agent power users tired of agents running raw git.
