Our take

A mature Python library (since 2020) that reads the same public JSON endpoints Spotify's web player uses — tracks, albums, playlists, podcasts, even the related-artists data Spotify killed off in its official API — with no API key. The stars are for the library; the MCP server is an optional extra installed via pip. Read-only and well-typed, but it's unofficial scraping: it can break when Spotify changes internals, and lyrics require handing over your session cookie.
