Our take

Local-first Gmail indexing for recall over threads, contacts, summaries, and mailbox history rather than another live-search wrapper. The default posture is read-only, with archive and label edits gated behind an explicit Gmail modify re-auth. Registry metadata is behind the current npm release, so install from latest if you want the newer writeback and label features.
