Our take

fastmcp-sqltools is a compact SQL MCP server for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite with table discovery, schema inspection, unrestricted query execution, and a read-only safe-query path. The functionality is real and simple, but the unrestricted execute_query tool is powerful enough that it should only be connected to scoped credentials or disposable databases. AGPL licensing may also matter for teams embedding or modifying it.
