Our take

Browserbase's MCP gives agents a managed cloud browser through Stagehand-style `start`, `navigate`, `act`, `observe`, `extract`, and session tools. The repo and old package still work, and the hosted MCP endpoint is live, but the registry is stale: current repo/package metadata points users toward `@browserbasehq/mcp` 3.0.0 while the registry still advertises `@browserbasehq/mcp-server-browserbase` 2.1.1. Treat it as an official Browserbase connector with normal Browserbase, project, and model API-key requirements, not as a fully local browser.
