Our take

A local-first context and memory layer for coding agents, with an MCP server gated to paid tiers. The npm install downloads a large closed hardened binary from GitHub Releases and verifies it with SHA256, which is acceptable packaging but not as auditable as source. It also writes project agent hooks during explicit `codeledger init/ready`, so teams should review the repo changes it proposes before committing them.
