Our take

Talks directly to Zotero's zotero.sqlite instead of the web API, which buys it things the API can't do well: full-text PDF extraction, annotation access, duplicate cleanup, and full collection/tag CRUD. The changelog shows careful attention to Zotero's DB conventions (clientDateModified handling, trash-aware queries). Two caveats: writing to a live application's SQLite file is inherently riskier than an API — back up your library — and the docs are Chinese-first with an English translation.
