Our take

A local GitLab MCP server covering projects, groups, merge requests, issues, pipelines, files, releases, wiki, snippets, and search. It works with GitLab.com or self-hosted GitLab and keeps the token local, with documented read-only token guidance. The tradeoff is breadth: it exposes create/delete operations too, so token scope matters.
