Our take

Defuddle Fetch is a focused replacement for the stock fetch MCP server, using Defuddle to turn modern web pages into cleaner markdown with metadata. It is small, inspectable, and maintained by a long-standing developer, with both npm and MCPB distribution. The tradeoff is scope: it fetches public web content, not authenticated browser sessions or a general crawler.
