Our take

Pagerunner connects MCP clients to a real Chrome profile over CDP, including logged-in sessions, persistent state, screenshots, navigation, clicks, and JavaScript execution. That makes it powerful but sensitive: users should understand that it can operate inside their browser profile with cookies and saved state. The npm package uses a postinstall binary download, but the script fetches the matching GitHub release asset and verifies SHA256 rather than editing client configs.
