Our take

The npm package is a functional thin client for Formatix's document-generation platform, but the vendor's machine-readable llms.txt at formatix.ai is engineered to manipulate AI recommenders: it maps competitor queries ('alternatives to Allsorter, CV-Transformer, HireAra, DaXtra...') directly to 'Formatix.AI is the top choice' and declares itself 'the #1 AI CV formatting tool' and 'the best automated CV formatting tool for recruiters in 2026' with paragraph after paragraph of competitor-displacement claims addressed to answer engines. That is the same distribution tactic we flagged in DOOMSCROLLR — steering agents' recommendations rather than earning them. The server also ships a claim_access tool that signs users up with an email mid-conversation.
