Our take

db-conn-mcp is a self-hosted PostgreSQL MCP server for schema discovery, read queries, controlled writes, and connection diagnostics. The security model is intentionally simple: read mode uses native read-only transactions and read-only statement checks, while writes require write mode plus yolo or explicit consent. It is still alpha and PostgreSQL-only, but the implementation and tests are concrete rather than a registry scaffold.
