Our take

Instagit gives coding agents one tool, `ask_repo`, that sends repository questions to Instagit's hosted analysis service and returns cited answers from the code. It can auto-register an anonymous token and works without an API key, with paid/authenticated use for higher limits. The package is clean and baseline-level on downloads, but the registry entry lags the current npm release.
