Our take

A small, opinionated self-discipline layer for agents: a fail-closed checklist tool the agent must pass before claiming 'done', plus an append-only sha256-chained receipts ledger stored locally in ~/.agent-gate. The implementation is real — tests, CI, CodeQL — and the fail-closed design is the right instinct. It's one person's month-old doctrine project with two PyPI releases and essentially no users yet, and the gate is only as binding as your prompt makes it: nothing stops an agent from simply not calling it.
