Our take

Whisper MCP is a straightforward local transcription server around OpenAI Whisper models. It is small, readable, and does exactly one useful thing: transcribe an audio file and optionally list supported models. The caveat is operational rather than trust-related: users need the underlying Whisper/Python environment working locally.
