Our take

macOS-only WhatsApp MCP that reads chats and contacts and can send messages through the local WhatsApp desktop setup. The PyPI package includes real Python server code plus a bridge package, and write tools are not mislabeled as read-only. Strong local-privacy and account-safety caveat: this gives an agent access to personal messages and the ability to send replies.
