Backstory: search your data exports locally

Verified · 32 days ago

Search your Google, Telegram, Spotify and Instagram exports locally. Fully offline.

Our take

Backstory searches personal data exports from services like Google, Telegram, Spotify, and Instagram entirely offline. It is for privacy-conscious users who want local search across exported archives rather than live service integrations. The offline model is a strong trust signal, though the project appears niche and likely depends on how well it keeps up with changing export formats.
