Our take

A straightforward MySQL MCP server maintained in a fork of the official modelcontextprotocol/servers repo, alongside oracle, mikrotik, and qnap siblings — the community-continuation pattern after the official repo dropped its database servers. It does what it says with connection-string plus user/password auth, and the npm package honestly declares the fork subfolder. Tiny footprint (2 stars, ~45 dl/wk), so expect a useful utility rather than a hardened product.
