Our take

A Rust spreadsheet toolkit for agents (xlsx/xlsm read-write, xls/xlsb read) whose design actually targets LLM failure modes: dry-run-first mutation, event-sourced session edits with undo/branch, recalc-and-diff verification proofs, and token-efficient paginated reads. Ships as MCP server, CLI, JS SDK, and experimental WASM, with CI, crates.io and npm releases, and Docker images — unusually mature engineering for its star count. The four-surface scope is ambitious for what looks like a single maintainer, and the README's breadth suggests API churn. One of the strongest options for serious Excel manipulation by agents.
