Our take

PDFTools is a remote-only document utility for extracting text and tables, merging PDFs, and reading metadata. It is for document-processing workflows that need common PDF operations without running local parsing libraries. The feature set is useful and easy to place, but the remote-only model and lack of public adoption metadata mean reliability, limits, and data privacy should be checked before using it on sensitive files.
