Our take

SnapRender is a screenshot API connector: capture a URL, inspect cache, and run the same service through hosted Streamable HTTP or the local npm bridge. The hosted endpoint correctly returns MCP protected-resource auth metadata, and the npm package is a straightforward API client with no install-time behavior. The owner's list-fork burst is a distribution caveat, but sampled forks did not show default-branch SnapRender self-insertion.
