Our take

Steep is a remote-only MCP server for querying metrics, targets, entities, and team analytics from a Steep workspace. The source repo is mostly a thin descriptor and plugin packaging, but the hosted endpoint is live and correctly auth-gated. This is useful for existing Steep customers, with the normal caveat that there is no local package fallback if the hosted service changes.
