Our take

Google Calendar with the full CRUD set — list/create/update/delete events, list calendars, and free/busy queries for scheduling agents. The hard constraint: it is service-account-only with domain-wide delegation, meaning you need Google Workspace admin access to set it up; personal @gmail.com accounts are out entirely. If you are a Workspace admin wiring up an org assistant that impersonates users' calendars, this is a clean fit; everyone else should look at an OAuth-based alternative.
