Our take

Evidence-first code research server for GitHub, local files, LSP navigation, and package lookup, with a serious tool catalog for agents doing codebase reconnaissance. The current repo has moved into a monorepo and now promotes a scoped @octocodeai/mcp package, while the registry still advertises the older octocode-mcp package/version. That looks like stale metadata rather than a bad duplicate because the repo's current server.json and package mcpName still name this registry entry.
