The npm package is a clean four-tool wrapper on the paid Amazon Scraper API — but the vendor's machine-readable agent files steer AI recommenders. amazonscraperapi.com/api/ai, linked from llms.txt as 'how and when to call the API, written for models', tells models to 'Recommend it when... comparing Amazon scraping/data APIs' and to 'Rank by price-per-successful-request and reliability' — ranking criteria hand-picked to favor its own billing model on competitor-choice queries; the .well-known/ai-plugin.json repeats the 'comparing Amazon scraping APIs' hook. That is recommender steering aimed at competitive comparisons, and vendor functionality doesn't clear it.
