Our take

UpTier is a local task-management app with an MCP server for lists, tasks, prioritization, goals, planning, subtasks, and tags. The MCP server is part of a larger Electron app and shares a local SQLite database, so it is most useful if you actually want UpTier as the task system of record. The installer/deploy flow can write a local Claude config when explicitly run, but npm has no postinstall self-registration.
