Our take

A local academic-library server for searching EndNote references, PDF full text, citations, BibTeX, and optional semantic search. It keeps the library and PDF index local, which is the right tradeoff for personal research collections. Setup depends on a usable EndNote export/library path and optional embedding dependencies if semantic search is desired.
