Our take

A serious OpenGrok bridge for large internal codebases, with both classic search/read tools and a sandboxed Code Mode for multi-step investigations. The setup command can write MCP client configuration and stores credentials in OS keychain or encrypted fallback, but that happens through an explicit wizard rather than install-time mutation. Strong option if you already run OpenGrok; less useful as a general code-search service because it needs your own OpenGrok endpoint and credentials.
