Lynx is a local semantic code-search server with AST chunking, hybrid retrieval, optional code graph tools, docs/PDF sources, and a manager UI. It is heavier than grep because it downloads an embedding model and builds indexes, but the payoff is a richer code-navigation surface that stays local after setup.
