Our take

Karst is a code-retrieval server focused on cited, package-scoped context for AI development tools. It is for engineering teams that want tighter code search and traceable retrieval inside agent workflows. The positioning is coherent and the PyPI packaging helps, but there is not much public maturity signal yet, so expect a tool that may still be settling in ergonomics and coverage.
