Our take

PageIndex exposes reasoning-based PDF retrieval through MCP, with both hosted/OAuth-style flows and a local package for uploading local PDFs. This is a thin connector around a larger PageIndex product, but the backing project and company footprint are real. The npm postinstall is only the common simple-git-hooks guard and does not configure MCP clients.
