Our take

Meta-search with an escape hatch for every budget: one interface over SearXNG, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Tavily, Google, Exa and more, plus browser-backed crawl/scrape/extract. Self-hosting SearXNG gets you a fully free search pipeline, which is the honest reason this has real traction (126 stars, downloads above mirror noise). Nice touch: private-network access for the browser tools is off unless you explicitly enable it. Quality varies with whichever provider you plug in.
